IPhone 4S Or 5?

I might be getting an IPhone for my birthday but my friend has been saying IPhone 4S' s are better but my sister,  who does have an IPhone 5 says that they're better cuz they're the latest one so I was wondering, which should I get? I have lots of time because my birthday isn't for like, another 4 months -_- So write in the comments which I should get :D I was supposed to be getting an IPod touch but my sister's Boyfriend is gonna give me his old one and he's having my sister's old IPod nano for his car instead. :D Anyway, main message is which IPhone should I get?
